Plants & Flowers

A plant isn't separate from its environment, or from other plants. When I draw a plant, it's important that I include the surrounding space in order to complete the description. How the subject is supported by the space around it will either bring liveliness to the subject, or will suppress it.  
 
In life and in art: include positive and negative spaces: it's both together, or nothing.
